FLUX Extract

Flux feels like discovering a hidden world where nature and imagination meet. It has an ethereal quality that immediately draws me in . So cool, luminous, and quietly captivating. There is a sense of stillness and wonder woven throughout the fragrance, like wandering through an ancient forest where every breath feels clean, mysterious, and alive.

There is something both nostalgic and futuristic about this scent. It captures the quiet magic of a forest untouched by time: the scent of evergreen trees, frozen berries, and the stillness that comes just before snowfall. It’s not simply a fragrance; it’s a place, a memory, a moment suspended in time.

Andrea Maack has created something truly unique with Flux. It’s serene yet powerful, fresh yet deeply grounding. I find myself returning to it again and again because it feels like wearing a secret world that only I can access.

Flux sounded rather interesting and it did not disappoint. Earthy and green, but in a sweet comforting way without being overly forward. The blueberry note shines through quite presently and remains throughout the entire wear time I have experienced. It really does evoke the feeling of walking among the trees while picking berries.

I know others have said it’s Pacific Northwest. For me it’s Downeast Maine, where the forest meets the rocky coastline. I’m at the summit of Mt Cadillac, overlooking Bar Harbor in late July and the wild blueberries are ripe. This is the first full size bottle I’ve ever bought myself and I wear it year-round. It is not a bright, fruity summer scent and it’s not a smoky, earthy winter one either. There’s something cooler here too which adds just a hint of mystery. It’s perfect.

Flux is a soul-fragrance for me. It brings me back to childhood, when I would pick berries with my dad along the Santa Cruz coast. The sun is fading, we're walking back to the car through the redwood forest, and I'm looking for fairies in the underbrush.

Wild, sweet, a bit bracing, and deeply personal. Give this one a try if you want a unique, but wearable woodsy scent. The longevity is impressive, too--the cashmeran drydown lasts on clothes for days.
