On first spray, it immediately opens with the scent and texture of the jeans accord, like wearing your favorite shorts, the denim sticking to your sweaty skin on a hot summer day, and the asphalt radiating underneath your feet as you hop onto your bike to ride into town.
The perfume than softens into a powdery orris, a smell reminiscent of my mother’s setting powder spilled onto the bathroom counter combined with the floral note of lavender and smooth warmth of sandalwood.
This is a perfume that gives you comfort and nostalgia, and yet provides intrigue and something new. Andrea Maack and perfumer Céline Barel really outdid themselves in creating this fragrance and it has become a staple in my own collection.

Have you ever fallen in love with a fragrance at first sniff? Indigo is so effortlessly cool and chic. I adore a good Iris type fragrance, but this is so much more. With the uniqueness of a blue jean accord alongside asphalt, lavender, and a musky sandalwood base, it’s a powdery fresh masterpiece.

This fragrance has been haunting my dreams since trying a sample a while ago. It really does smell like fresh denim with almost this fuzzy grungy texture and this beautiful cloud of orris. It’s so unique and makes me feel all at once relaxed, sexy, confident. It’s not too perfumey in the traditional sense, yet has this incredible longevity and wears almost like a second skin. Perfect to wear on a big day out in the city where you walk 12,000 steps yet still somehow smell incredible at the end of the day when you finally go for dinner. LOVE.

This is such an interesting fragrance! The denim note comes out right away and is lovely. Many years ago I worked for fun Italian brand known for their denim, and this fragrance transported me back! It’s a very pleasant scent with good staying power.

I'll admit that after reading the notes, I was skeptical of Indigo. After smelling the sample, I completely changed my mind. I think it's a lovely everyday fragrance. Definitely smells like blue jeans -- powdery and soft without crossing into baby powder/White Diamonds body powder territory. My boyfriend likes this one a lot for himself, and I hope to save up and buy him a full size bottle!
