Working with flowers, fruits, aromatic herbs, spices, roots and woods, Andrea Maack continues to favour natural ingredients as they offer great olfactive experience and provide rich rounded fragrances.

NOTES

Perfume is described in a musical language as having three set´s of notes, a top note, middle note (also called the heart) and base note. These notes unfold over time, with the top as the first impression, leading the to the deeper middle add the base gradually appearing in the final stage.

These notes are created carefully with the knowledge of the evaporation process of each perfume creation.

Top Notes: Consists of small, light molecules that evaporate quickly. They form the first impression of a perfume and these notes are usually described as fresh, assertive, sharp and last on the skin for about 20-30 min.

Heart Notes: This is the scent that emerges just prior the dissipation of the top note. The middle note compounds from the heart of a perfume, this scent of the middle note is usually more mellow and rounded than the top and last on the skin for about 2-6 hours

Base notes: This is the scent of a perfume that appears close to the departure of the middle notes. These compounds are often “fixatives “used to hold and boost the strength of the middle notes. They bring depth and solidity to a perfume. These are heavier molecules and are usually not perceived until after about 30 min of application and last on the skin up to 24 hours.
